Refresh is a web-based solution that automates the design, positioning, and bulk production of branded sticker belts and packaging sleeves for gift boxes. Built for custom gift brands and printing businesses, it dynamically calculates precise sleeve measurements, positions custom logos/text, optimizes print sheets to reduce paper waste, and automates sales invoices and courier delivery tracking.
Refresh needed an end-to-end automated packaging management system to streamline custom branded sticker belts and packaging sleeves for gift boxes. We engineered a scalable web platform that automates variable print layout generation, PDF invoicing, and courier dispatch tracking.
The situation
Custom gift packaging requires tailored sticker belts and sleeves featuring client logos, event dates, order IDs, and personalized names. As order volumes grew during peak holiday seasons, managing artwork alignment, print sheet layouts, and order fulfillment manually created operational bottlenecks and increased material costs.
The challenge
Preparing print-ready artwork manually for different box dimensions resulted in frequent sizing errors and slow order turnarounds. Calculating page yields manually wasted significant paper stock. Additionally, disjointed billing and courier tracking slowed down overall dispatch schedules.
Our approach
We designed a centralized web platform that combines an automated sleeve engine with real-time dynamic layout positioning. We focused on building a 1-click invoice and sales order pipeline alongside an integrated courier dispatch management system to connect order takers, print operators, and shipping partners.
The solution
We developed a custom full-stack application featuring a dynamic sleeve master configurator. Users can define custom width/height specs, place variable fields (logo, client name, order ID, date) using X/Y coordinates, calculate page yields automatically, import batch orders from Excel, and generate print-ready PDFs with automated invoice documentation.
Intuitive React frontend with granular Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) for managing clients, partners, sleeve templates, and order workflows.
Automated layout engine that computes page density, margins, orientation, and single/double-sided print options to eliminate paper waste.
Integrated Puppeteer PDF engine for instant 1-click generation of sales orders, bank proforma receipts, and tax invoices.
Seamless Excel import engine for processing bulk corporate orders and assigning real-time tracking IDs to shipping courier partners.
The outcome
The platform transformed Refresh's packaging fulfillment. Design preparation time dropped by 90%, paper material waste was virtually eliminated due to automated page layout optimization, and bulk Excel ordering allowed the client to comfortably handle peak holiday season volumes.
